problem with elbows

Hi

i have an older chocolate Lab. and he's got the callous's on his elbows that older dogs get. and maybe 3 days ago he just started licking it ALOT. so much that now its raw, and is making him limp pretty bad.

i was just wondering what i could put on it to help heal it?

i added a pic of the elbow, i hope its not too graphic. the swelling as gone down a bit from the other night.
any input would be great!

Thanks

Mach1girl is an unknown quantity at this point
Re: problem with elbows

I would recommend cleaning it real good, and drying it, and taking her to the vet. She may not be licking because a callous exists, she may be licking because she has a deeper elbow pain and should be checked out.

Good luck.
