Thin puppy

My puppy Roxy is 5 months and she still looks like she needs to gain more weight. She got her last set of shots last month and the vet told me to feed her more. I have and I am almost feeding her 4 1/2 cups! She is about 30lb but her sides somewhat are sucked in. She is a collie/lab/husky mix. I feed her Natural Ultramix. Could it be her metabolism is high? She was dewormed and I don't believe it is a bug or anything.

Any suggestions or thoughts?

look at the calories and compare them to your current dog food. Maybe you need to switch to a puppy food with a higher calorie content for now while she is still growing. Some pups just burn though calories faster than others.

thanks so much. I noticed your username had collie in it. Do you have collies and what do you feed them? Her mom was full bred rough collie while her dad was a mix.

I do have two rough collies.

Rio my male does agility.

Hurricane Savannah my girl is starting rally and when she is a year old we will start agility.

I also have a new family member a Maltese named Squeak. I hope to do rally with her and if her heart murmur improves maybe teacup agility.

The collies are on Eagle Pack Holistic. Squeak is eating Science Diet (which is what the breeder had her on, I will be changing to another food hopefully soon.)

Savannah is so pretty...and Rio is very handsome. I love your new baby too. You have quite a trio there!
