Bugs are crazy after Tropical Storm Fay

Where I live in FLorida the mosquitos are everywhere after this damn storm from all the standing water. My dogs are very itchy!!
We have fleas and ticks under control but no meds for the mosquitos. Any suggestions?

Benadryl might help...Also Advantix (or Advantage, I can never remember which one) is supposed to help with mosquitoes. I'm in SE TX so I know all about the "killer skeeters"!

You can use Avon Skin So Soft - mosquitos HATE it. Pour a small amount into the palm of your hand, rub hands together, and then apply to your dog's coat, going against the grain. I also keep a bottle of EQyss Marygold Spray on hand. I live in FL, too, and I swear, with all the rain, heat, and humidity, wouldn't be surprised to see mushrooms sprout outta the back of necks! LOL

Bounce fabric sheets repel mosquitos. Rub one on the dog.

The fabric sheets also repel mice. If you have a mouse in a certain area, and leave a couple of Bounce sheets there, they will stay away. We do it with our tack lockers at the barn where I have my horse, to keep the mice from chewing the leather.

Does it have to be Bounce or can it be any of them. I am willing to buy them but I have others already. Thanks for the tip!

I guess you can try the others. I've always used Bounce.

I'll try it and let you know. Since this was originally posted, I've noticed my dogs are scratching more than usual and it's not fleas cuz fleas love me and I haven't been bitten.
