| I thought this thread would be about something entirely different. I guess I have a dirty mind.
Dog can have peanut butter, so peanuts should be ok, but salted nuts would have entirely too much sodium. |

| I saw this thread, and I was like "What the ...? Of COURSE dogs can have...er..."
LOL!!!!
Anyway, on a more serious note, no. Nuts can cause damage to their intestines and bowels and cause blockages.
Don't feed your dog chocolate, raisens, nuts of any kinds, "greenies" gosh there is a whole host of things that dogs can't have.
Cooked bones, too- they are softer then raw bones.
Too much egg whites can cause harm, too.
Maybe someone will give a more comprehensive list then I can. |

| Funny, that is not where my mind went, even though I normally have a very dirty mind.
No, nuts aren't a really good idea for dogs. They are also high in fat which could bring on pancreatitis. A nut here or there, would not be a huge deal I think (depending on what kind---I think walnuts can have a certain kind of fungus that is really bad for dogs), but it is not something that wild dogs would probably come across and so I don't think they need it. |

| What are "greenies"? At first I thought you meant vegetables, but that can't be right can it? |

| Ok, it's unanimous. We all have dirty minds!! Myself included. I thought "nuts" was what they cut off when they neuter a dog. LOL.
I also need to know what "greenies" are? |

| All bones are bad for dogs. Cooked or not. You never know when they will chew off splinters of bone and swallow them causing all sorts of problems. |

| Hmmm...sounds reasonable. You see so many dogs gnawing on an old bone I was curious. I reckon you can get one of those old rawhide jobbies and soak it in beef broth for flavor. |
