When I pet my dog on her back or on her side she scratches this just started a month or two ago she is a 3 year old pit bull. Could this be a nerve condition.
Almost every dog I know has a "magic itchy spot" on his/her back like that. We get a kick out of it....it's so funny to see them kick like that!
Usually they get worse if the dog has fleas. Any signs of fleas on your dog? Even if you don't SEE fleas, she probably has some unless she's on a high-quality flea med, such as Advantage or Frontline.
