Spraying yard for fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, etc.?

We're about to move to a more rural setting on 1.5 acres next to a small forest and I'm worried about pests around my dog. Does anyone know of a safe treatment for larger properties that won't harm my dog?

It sounds like a cheap alternative to pesticides. My local feedstore ordered it for me...Ill let you know how it goes.

Thanks -- I would appreciate it. I don't like the idea of spraying a bunch of chemicals around the yard.
