Sudden Lump

Our dog got a sudden lump on her lower back above her hip. She is 13 weeks old 3/4 Lab, 1/4 beagle. She is in no pain and is walking and jumping as normal. When the area is touched she doesn't even move. I called the Vet and they just told me to keep an eye on it. The swelling looks like it is going down though. Thoughts anyone? Thanks

Re: Sudden Lump

Most lumps turn out to be nothing but they should ALL be checked by a vet. I'm a little surprised they didn't tell you to bring her in for a check. I'd have it looked at.

Yeah we plan on taking her tomorrow. I was just hoping it wasn't an emergency, but since she is in no pain or shows no signs of pain she should be fine until tomorrow. The Vets are closed and only the emergency clinc is open.

Oh good - it's probably nothing, but always important to check. Hope it goes easy for you!
