shih tzu with a slipped disc

Hi my name is kym & i have a 2 yr. old male shih tzu. We just returned from the vet, where "shelton" was diagnosed with a slip disc. My question is "Does anyone know of some home remidies to help ease his pain'?

This is not something to mess around with. It is even more worrisome in a younger dog. Did he have x-rays done? He should be on some type of anti-inflammatory medication depending on how bad it is. Probably steroids, or maybe Rimadyl or deramaxx, and maybe a muscle relaxant and pain medication. It all depends on what type of back problem it is. Some issues are extremely time sensitive and must receive specific treatment within a certain time frame.

I hope you didn't decline treatment hoping there would be an easy "home remedy". You could be playing with fire.

This also should go in the medical section so medical people will see it.
