Eye goop?

Rocky's been getting goop at the corners of his eyes the last few weeks. It seems like I have to remove a little ball of stuff like 3 times a day. He hasn't been feeling ill in any way lately, the only thing going on is the goop. I wouldn't think it's a major problem (other than keeping him from trying to eat it off my fingers every time), but if there's a simple way to rid him of it, I would sure like to know.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hiya Trumpet!

I Had a bout with that problem here with 2 of my pups..I took them to the vet and it was diagnosed as Conjunctivitis due to tree pollen and springtime..She prescribed some antibiotic eye drops and havent had a problem since..Good Luck!

Re: Eye goop?

Hmm... that could be something to look at. Now that I think about it, it started right after the spring melt finally happened. Thanks for the info digit

Re: Eye goop?

The pollen count has been really high, and one of my dogs got allergic conjunctivitis. I flush her eyes with sterile saline solution, and put her to bed with a Benadryl.
