Diarrhea - interesting thought here

Ok, so I noticed that my adult dog, Smokey, has had diarrhea since about a day after the new puppy got here. Not bad or watery, but runny enough it's impossible to pick up after. After his previous 'bouts with it I made him a vet appointment (last time it was Giardia) but I just couldn't understand what was wrong this time.
Then I figured it out (but am going to vet to have him checked anyway) he's been "sneaking" the puppy food from Lily (I caught him eating it tonight actually)...it must taste good or something...but I can imagine the vast change in protein etc and brands just wreaked havoc on the poor dog. It's almost amusing to see the look on his face, it says "OMG, what did I EAT????UGHHHHHH" as he races out the doorway.
Other than an upset tummy he's been doing great. I figured I'd share his lament with everyone on here hehe

Looks like you solved the problem, I'm glad it was nothing serious.

NO more puppy food for Smokey.
