| Having some dog flu-like symptoms, but they are vague I have a 3 year old 80lb. spayed female Chesapeake Bay Retriever that developed some symptoms today. They are vague, but if anyone can give me some possibilities to look into, I would appreciate it. I don't know a whole lot about dog health.
lethargic and tired to the point of being disinterested in fetching (I never thought I'd see the day.)
head and ears drooping causing her back to hunch up instead of having the downward bow that's normal
not happy or energetic at all, buries head in my lap
she did eat tonight without much problem
I felt around looking for any sensitive areas and she didn't react to anything
she acts stiff when she walks, or like it takes great effort, but she will still get up and go outside
no drooling or panting
still begged and foraged around dinner table but not as 'hopeful' as usual. So still interested in food.
food has not changed from iams lamb and rice
licked a few people plates, but nothing of substance today
no direct contact w/ strange dogs, but they do crap in our yard sometimes
nothing has really changed in her routine
She's an inside dog w/ no exposure to chemicals or poisons
pooing and peeing normally, didn't check for blood though
symptoms developed after lunch time today and have been steady
she acts like a person with the flu |
