Melanie is peeing alot

Melanie is 4 months old and partially potty trained. Im just wondering how often does a 4 months old pup should pee? Melanie is peeing about 15-20 times a day. About 5-10 out of 20 are alot of pee and the other 10time are just little drizzles. Just wondering if there is a problem with Melanie or should i bring her to the vet. Oh yeah, her poo is normal, about 5 times a day.
When i had Stitch as a pup i dont remember her peeing this much.

Could be an infection going on. A visit to the vet might be in order even if just to rule out any medical issues.

yeah i was thinking that. Everytime Melanie pees i use those wet wipes to wipe her peeing area. Those wet wipes i buy are the ones for babies. I get the non scented ones. Do you think there can be a problem with that?

Could be I guess.. maybe a yeast type infection.. again, vet visit would rule out any medical problems.

Once you know when your appt. is it might be a good idea to try to get a urine sample for the vet to check... you only need a little. They can test for bacteria.

Just curious, why do you wipe her when she pees?

I do not wipe her when she pees. I wipe her private area and her foot after she pees, to clean her up. Shes a inhouse dog and i like to keep her clean and my house clean. I let her play out side all the time and after she plays i wipe her clean, haha. You might call me a clean freak.

ok she probably has a uti.... couple things first is a vet check she will need antibiotics.... 2nd stop using the wipes they can create a problem use them on her foot if you need but stop wiping the vaginal area.... 3rd.... if she has hair hanging down from the vulva trim it up because it acts as a wick and pulls bacteria up.....

yeah ill bring her to the vet. Shes been to the vet already for her check up when i first got her. She has had all of her shots. Yeha ill probely trim the hair on the vulva. If i do not use the wipes around her vaginal area what do i use to clean the area, because when she pees she drips. We use one of those peeing pads in house so i dont want pee going around the places. When Stitch pees she does not drip.
