bumps

My fiance and I just spotted a spot on our dog Dixies head. It's almost like a nipple on her head. She flinches when we touch anywhere near it like it hurts. I really don't want to call the vet just for him to tell us it's something little.
Anybody have an ideas as to what it could be?

Re: bumps

I don't know really. Where I live I would 1st think in could be a tick. My daughter-in-law felt a little lump on her dogs head & thought tick. She took him in to her neighbour & she said it was a wart, but he was 9 or 10 yrs old at the time.
It could be anything, if it changes in any way it's best to have a vet look at it especially as it's sore. It could be a spider bite, or anything. Get it checked out.
