| Seizures after Eating I have a 13 year old Sheepdog/Cairn Terrier mix and he was in great health until a few months ago. He began getting abcesses on his rear end and had problems with osteoporosis in his back legs. We took him to the vet, she gave us prednisone for the abcesses and that has helped tremendously. We tried one or two medications for the osteoporosis but it ended up giving him the occasional seizure. He had never had seizures up until this point. We were told to try aspirin so we have been giving him one aspirin in the morning and one in the evening, he has been getting around fine.
However, he has become very picky about what he eats, he will eat ground beef, chicken, or dog treats. He no longer wants dog food, we have tried soft and hard. In the past week, on 2 separate occasions he has eaten his food quickly, thrown it back up and then had a seizure. I'm not sure what to do.
Aside from that he's very alert, greets me at the door when I come home, follows me around the hous, etc.
Any advice?? |
