| Cushings Disease
My 11 and 1/2 year-old female Chow chow was just diagnosed with an adrenal gland mass in her left gland. She has all the signs of Cushings disease and my vet said we could try to remove the mass @ $1000 charge. Aside from the money, I am worried she could die on the operating table, or I will find the mass is cancerous.
I have looked at all the websites and it looks like meds are more for the pituitary gland type Cushings, and removal is the only remedy. I fear my dog has no other options and whether I risk surgery or not, she will die soon. What else may I do? Anyone else know more than I? Has anyone experienced the adrenal gland type of Cushings?
Any advice, any encouragement is sure appreciated.
