Do Bully breeds have any specific health issues?

It's looking more and more like the puppy I adopted from animal control has a good portion of pit or something similar mixed in. This dog is a mix so I know it's not necessarily going to have the same problems as a pure bred but I'm trying to start researching now. I've always had Labs or Cocker Spaniels so this is new territory for me.

I know certain breeds have eye problems or hip problems etc... Do bully breeds have anything specific to them?

Thanks!!

Pretty much all Bully breeds are prone to cherry eye, entropian or extropian, Hip Dyspalcia, knee and elbow problems, thyroid problems, and cardiac problems as well as coat problems and allergies.

OK.. Wow.. That's quite a list.

He goes back to the vet on April 3rd. I'll make sure to bring those up.

Thanks!

I wouldn't worry too much, many of the concerns are common to all breeds that are expected to get over 30-35 lbs.
