Will Share Any Important Information on IMHA

Thank you everyone for your understanding about the sudden death of my dog to IMHA--immune disease with uncontrollable internal bleeding. I intend to find out as much as possible about this disease. I came across a site where someone stated that a doctor in California was a leading authority on this. She called me back and asked for my dog's history for the last year. She is going to go over it. I will share this with you in hopes that you might pick up something that would keep your dog from gettingthis. It also gives me a purpose and takes my mind off the emptiness for a short while. Thank you again.

Re: Will Share Any Important Information on IMHA

I must have missed your posts, but I am very sorry to hear that. It is just one of the reasons why I am so passionate with regards to vaccination practices. I assume you are referring to Dr. Dodds? I have heard great things regarding her knowledge of IMHA.

Re: Will Share Any Important Information on IMHA

Yes, it was Dr Dodds. She was so nice to me and kind. I had called a vet at Purdue but she would not take emails or phone calls. You had to be a patient. But I kind of understand that, but I figured Dr. Dodds was busy too. She told me to email her Libbie's last year--medicines, afflictions, vet visits, treatments, etc. I am going to get Libbie's records tomorrow. It won't bring her back but maybe it will stop this insane urge I have to know what happened to my baby.

I very much so look forward to hearing your report and thank you in advance for sharing the information. I understand your need to know what happened.

I have only heard wonderful things about Dr. Dodds. It is great to see someone who is such a leader in their field give personalized attention to pet owners as she does. I have not had to contact her myself, but may be using her hemopet service in the future for blood testing.
