| Re: Non-Prescription Alternatives for Incontinence (3yr old beagle) Thanks for the suggestions. I will check them out, as well as other ones that I have found through this site (ex., Leaks No More).
I have another question in hopes that others who have dogs with spay incontinence (SI) issues can help.
For the past few years, I have left Snoopy in a big exercise pen with her bed, water and toys during the day since I work full-time. She's always done fine in there. Recently, she started wetting her bed, so I took her to the vet and she was diagnosed with SI. I removed the bed since she wets it every day. I am keeping her in a big crate during the day and night, but I feel bad keeping her in there. I would prefer she'd be in her exercise pen again since it is roomier.
My question is what have you all tried when you have left your SI dog for extended periods of time while you waited for the treatment to work -- where do you keep him/her? do you place a towel or pads on the floor? etc...
Thank you. Jackie |
