Chow Chow - Dysplasia
I have a 9 month old chow chow ... I noticed him limping so I took him to the hospital.. turns out he has elbow dysplasia =( ... I guess chows the breeds that are most prone to dysplasia in the hip, legs, etc... surgery is $2,000 (I was told) ... does anyone know of any alternatives?

Aggie is an unknown quantity at this point

Surgery is the only way I know of to correct it- it's a deformed joint/bone, so there are not many options. It's also usually congenital, so be sure his breeders knows that this happened so he can re-evaluate the bitch.
