How old is this puppy?

The pound said they thought this puppy (scotty?/schnauzer?/???) mix was around 3 months, but she seems to have a lot of teeth for that young to my inexeprienced eye. Any tooth age experts here?

Re: How old is this puppy?

Generally adult molars appear around 6 months. Pups start to lose the front teeth around 4 months. But there is a wide range of normal and your vet would be able to give you a better idea from a complete exam.

I can't tell much from the picture. It looks like the dog's baby teeth are not falling out? Is there a double row of teeth? Sometimes the vet has to wiggle the baby teeth out to prevent any issues from developing. But at this age you should be seeing the vet regularly for shots so I'd bring it up then. And in the meanwhile be sure to give the pup plenty to chew on.
