I Have A 1 1/2 Year Old Shih-tuz And For A Week Now She Will Not Drink Any Liquids I've Had Her At A Vet (no Help) And At An Animal Welfare Clinic Two Days In A Row And Still No One Can Tell Me Whats Wrong With Her She Is Now Having Trouble Walking With Her Back Legs. She Will Eat Soft Dog Food But No Liquids When I Tried To Force Liquids In Her She Gags Like Shes Going To Throw -up Please Help Don't No What To Do For Her.
You need to get a second ( or third ) opinion from a completely different vet. There should be blood work done, and probably xrays too. I wish I could help you more, but a forum is not likely going to be much help here, except to urge you to get her to another vet.
I can only tell you what I'd do...get liquids down her with an eyedropper (stick it inside the side of her mouth and she'll swallow it) then get her to a holistic vet in the morning.
