worms

I have a new puppy. We got her a week ago. I have an appt with the vet on tuesday for her first set of shots. But yesterday and today I have founds worms coming out of her even when she is not using the bathroom. I was holding her and one was on my hand. (that happened twice) The lady wormed her right before we took home but like I said that was a week ago. Is there something I can do for until we see the vet on tuesday. Also is this harmful to humans. I have 3 kids one of which is only 2. Any help would be great. Thanks so much.
Amanda
PS she has never been outside because I was told it wasn't good for her to be outside until she gets her shots.

Re: worms

You could call your emergency vet for assistance. Not knowing what the breeder gave her, it would be risky to recommend even an over the counter product.

Are dog worms harmful to humans? Yes but, it depends on what kind of worm it is and the conditions. Not knowing these, all we can advise you to do is keep the kids away from the dog, and your home clean.

I really do think the best advice is to call your e-vet.

Good luck!
