Exclamation Is it some kind of seizure?

I have a male pekingese who is about 4-5 years old.
Every now and then he has what we think is some kind of weird seizure. We'll tell the vet, but they never say anything about it.
Here's how it happens:

He'll either be laying in bed with one of us, or he'll be doing something around the house. Then suddenly his entire body will go stiff. He doesn't respond or anything. He'll be like that sometimes for a minute or so, but sometimes it's about 2-3 minutes.
After this he'll enter a stage where he can't walk, he's still stiff but not as much as before, mostly only in his legs. He'll pick up his head some and he won't completely respond to us, but sometimes he wags his tail to acknowledge us. He'll slowly start to unstiffen.

So, is this some kind of seizure like we think? Does anyone know what the.. 'name' for it is? We're really worried, because he literally JUST had one, and it was taking him a bit longer to 'come back to us.'
Any help is loved. :]

I don't have that expertise but I would suggest that you seek a second opinion! This is definitely not normal at I would be angry at my vet for ignoring it!
