Well, I'm pet sitting for my friends dog and it is a pug (18 lbs). My other friends dog is also here and he is a 25 pound eskimo/lab/? mix puppy. They get along fine but sometimes they play too rough. I went out to dinner with my friends and my mom promised to put them in their crates if she went anywhere. Well, they were all sleeping apparently and she thought she could just leave them out.. UGH I should have stayed home, she isn't the smartest when it comes to dogs.. actually most things.
Well I got home and the pug is limping. I felt both his back legs and feet and hips and everywhere and it all feels the same on both legs. He doesn't yelp I touched his leg for about 20-25 minutes straight. The other dog is a puppy but he does this weird thing where he is actually bearing his teeth so it looks like he is attacking the other dog but he is rolling around and being like a puppy (and doing the cat pose with the butt up). The puppy is leaving tonight so it is fine.
He does put a little weight on the leg when he stands and goes up the stairs. He can still jump on my bed and run.. I feel so bad I should have never trusted my mom with my babies. I need help. Is this serious enough that I have to take him to the emergency vet? I don't know if I should wait a night and see if it is better tomorrow.. I just don't want something to be broken and then he be injured forever because of me. Please help
