Looking for insight

Monday night we had to take our Shiba Inu pup to the emergency clinic because he was vomiting. It turned out he has really bad gas. A lot of gas build up in his stomach. Of course we went home with medicine. Now, two days later, he's passing this gas, and I think it must be scaring him. Tonight he started shaking really really bad, as if he is cold, and can't sit still for longer than 20 seconds. It's scaring me as he's shaking so bad its visible. Anyone experience this before? He's my baby, and I'm worried about him.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Gas is VERY uncomfortable - he probably knows nothing more than his tummy hurts, and is very uncomfortable, and he doesn't feel good.

He doesn't understand that it will pass.

If you are concerned, I would phone your vet and leave a message (if it's after hours), and they will call you back in the morning.

He may not be shaking out of fear, he may be shaking out of discomfort. I have not personally experienced this, but I'm wondering if maybe his anal gland is impacted and that he may need to be expressed. This is purely a guess, and you should probably speak with your vet ASAP. You may also want to look into changing his diet if the gas persists.
