Question help need advice

does anyone know if my dogs(which have been vacinated and de-wormed)
can still catch any dieases or illnesses from other dogs (which have not been vacinated etc) if they come in my yard and drink from my dogs water bowl? Or plays with my dogs.
My neighbors don't vaccinate there dog/puppy and its been roaming into our yard constantly to play with my dogs. I recently found out it caught parvo. what should I do? After 3 days of them nursing it back to health it was
back in my yard. ?

When you know your going to have sunny days I would use a 50/50 solution of bleach and water in a large sprayer. I use a pump sprayer for the garden holds 3 gallons. Get every square milimeter of your yard. Do this thorought the year as often as possible. Couple times a week.
You want to get the parvo that is in your soil killed. It could live just under the soil and can be dug up and your dogs could get it.
I would also spray your nieghbors yard too. OR encourage them to do it so unsuspecting dogs dont go in there and catch parvo.
Here is a link to information that I gathered and shared on another forum. Definatly read it there is some good information on CPV (parvo)

Thanks for the link....read all these questions and the followup link and still confused....can a DHLPP vacinated dog still get parvo. We are frequently at RV parks with designated pet walk areas. They always make me nervous about contracting any number of things! I always wash feet and faces good after using those areas, but this presents a new concern.

In the medical field we say anything is possible. However, some of the things that are possible are not very probable. Most likely a vaccinated dog will not get Parvo. Same is true of human vaccines, there are children who have been vaccinated against chicken pox, but still got them, but most of the time they do not... Always be cautious, not careless.

Most likely a vaccinated adult dog will not get Parvo, but you never know. Watch them closely for the next week or so. I think it is even more important to keep your dogs in a completely fenced yard so they can be safe from other strange animals and people coming into the yard and them getting out to be hit my cars. Intestinal parasites/fleas are another worry if strange dogs are coming into your yard.
