Strange (?) puppy vomit

My 14-week-old pup vomited today. She's never eaten pasta... so what are these noodle-like things? Some sort of worm? She had her last shot on Dec. 14... I have a vet appt. scheduled already, but just wanted to know if this is normal? She's acting fine (eating, drinking, playing, and eliminating as usual).

Those would be worms. You need to get your puppy in to the vet and have it wormed.

Those look like tape worms. She needs to be treated by a vet and also dewormed.

And a lot of them for such a young pup. She's losing a lot of nutrients to these parasites. Some of them are transmittable to humans as well. Get her wormed at the vets ASAP

I think that is the first time I have ever seen worms like that. I mean my golden got the poo worms one time (sorry) and I got her wormed. That would freak me out if my dog did that. Sorry, I hope your pup feels better.

It may be a bit late but I was thinking about this today ... did you keep a sample for your vet? If not maybe you could try to bring your photo in because it will be helpful to him in identifying the worms.

Re: Strange (?) puppy vomit

Thanks, I was pretty sure it was worms, and now I know. She's going into the vet this week. I didn't save the vomit, but I did take the picture in order to show the vet.

She's acting normal otherwise.

Re: Strange (?) puppy vomit

It's been along time since I've seen worms but I think they're round worms or whipworms.

Look like roundworms to me.
