Help please, eye in my dog red and spreading

hey there I have a mix female Shih Tzu Lhaza (sp) this morning when I woke up I noticed a little red color above her eyeball in the left side of the left eye.

now it has almost covered the whitness above and around the eyeball, I kind of trapped here as my roomate has the car and the local Vet closed until monday.

any advice please?

Let me qualify this by saying that I am not a vet, but, it sounds like it could be a busted blood vessel. If this is in fact true, it does not cause any pain, and should heal on it's own. However, I know my concern would drive me nuts, so, call a cab and find an emergency vet in your area. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply, I am pretty stuck because I live in the middle of nowhere but my roomate should be home in a few hours and Chelsie is as happy as can be, I just hate seeing her like that and I was really concerned.

btw here is a pic of her

This breed is prone to what I believe is called "entropion" or something..I forgot how it's spelled.

The shorter muzzled breeds, and toy breeds often get this thing where their eye lid folds back into their eyeball, causing damage to the lense, eyeball, etc

It is also VERY likely that it;s an corneal ulcer. Corneal ulcers, and enotropion are quite common in Shih Tzu's
