| Re: best ear solution (or, which one do you use) out there I go to the vets and get the stuff they have there ( the non alcohol based one) Epi-Otic
I use it as a weekly cleanser for the dogs and the cats and I am very happy with the results ( its a non prescription refill as needed) |

| Re: best ear solution (or, which one do you use) out there does anyone have any recommendations for a non alcohol recipe? is plain mineral oil ok to use (it's ok for babies)? or is ear powder the way to go?
my advice is never use anything with a strong smell or anything that might sting their eyes. my dog has an absolute panic attack when i try to put drops in his ears and I found anything with a smell makes it worse. |

| Re: best ear solution (or, which one do you use) out there the boric acid which is an eyewash cuts the sting of the alcohol and that is why it is in there......
I personally do not like anything oil based.... now there is a powder available in the UK but I can't remember the name of it.....
but I have not found anything to work as well as the purple/blue solution

| Re: best ear solution (or, which one do you use) out there I happened to find some ear WIPES today. no probably not as good as drops, but at least I don't have to deal with my dog flipping out over it |
