Yesterday upon returning from work, our dog came in from outside with what looked like a string a poop coming out her behind. I immediately grabbed a handful of towels and pulled at it and a long strand of rope/string came out. Our two dogs play with a rope toy that gets fairly shredded (it has since been thrown out). I was hoping that was the end of it but she did not eat today and there was more tonight when I got home from work I had to pull out. She's in obvious discomfort and was wondering if anyone new how I can expedite the process of her passing whatever's in there.
The problem is, it may not all pass. It's possible for items to get wrapped around essential internal dog parts and, if that happens and you're tugging on it, you may do irreparable damage.
