Ginger's taking a really long time to come out of the anesthesia

She's awake, and has gotten up and wobbled around, but she seems really stiff, and off. It's been 8 hours since I brought her home, pretty much as the dentistry was finished. She did eat, I brought her food to her where she's lying. She ate willingly, didn't need to be coaxed or anything and is now resting but this seems unusually long for her to be so out of it. To me. Am I just being a nervous nellie? I hope so.

Ok, well I think I'm a nervous nellie, she has gone off to bed with my mom now. Her legs still seem really stiff though and I've never seen that before. Anybody have a cause for that?

LOL What kind of a mom would you be if you were not worried about your baby? LOL I am glad she is alright now. Some dogs just take longer to get it out of their systems. The stiffness could just be her balance being off yet.

Thanks, I was so nervous because she IS 10 and the last time she was under was for spaying @ 6 months. Today I feel good. I even resisted calling the vet last night and I'm so proud of myself. My mom just shakes her head, I think it's a good thing I never had kids as I just don't think my sanity would survive that.

Fids are definitely enough for me. I don't know how my mother ever did it.

I hear you and couldn't agree more. I love my dogs as much as I could possibly love any fur less child anyway. My mom and dad have simply gotten used to the idea that the grandkids I have presented them with are a little hairier then the ones my sister has. LOL Often times they are better behaved as well. LOL
