Usually vets will have an emergency number to call. If you call the regular number does it give you an emergency number? Do you have an emergency vet relatively close?

Re: rectal prolaspe

Absolutly need to get to a vet. It can be surgically repaired. But you have to make sure the dog never strains to go poop. Or it can reoccur. You vet can do the alter while you have this surgery done, if you want to get that out of the way as well. I had to have this done on a doxie pup, and the surgery was a great success.
