Question Dog insurance

Hello all,
I am trying to research different pet insurance for my puppy. Do any of you have it for your pets? Is it really worth the while of getting it? And if you do have it, which one do you have? Thank you for your help!

Re: Dog insurance

We have VPI. I'd say it was worth it for the first year, with the routine care addition. We got back more than our premium through her illnesses and her spay and shots, etc. I don't think we'll renew it though...we've stopped getting money back for stomach related issues because they're the same old thing all over again. So for young or old dogs or sick dogs, it can be a good idea. Otherwise, I'd just suggest a savings account.

Re: Dog insurance

I thinking about when we get our new pup to take it out at petsmart, but I'm not sure yet. I think it is somewhere around 100 down and I know it is 17 dollars a month and that includes like everything, but I agree with friendofzoe once you are out of puppy stage, you don't need it as bad

Re: Dog insurance

we have VPI also. I think it is worth it. One of my dogs thinks he is 10 feet tall and is determined to hurt himself. I figure we will end up with a big bill at some point so we might as well have insuance.
