Is this cause for concern?

I noticed grey spots in my dog's ears. She has 2 in her left one and 1 in her right. I looked in older pics of her and saw they weren't there. Are they freckles, I've had dogs my whole life and never saw anything like this...

The top picture is her un-spotted ear and the bottom one, you can see one on the outer left and more at the outer/bottom on the right. Seems strange to me. The top was taken on 10/15/07... so less thn 2 months ago.

Re: Is this cause for concern?

Thanks for the "bump",Ali.
I also want to add that these spots aren't raised at all, completely flat. She acts totally healthy, she eats, plays and runs around normal. But she has had digestive problems for the past 4 months, (all tests have been negative). I just hope this is nothing, I wouldn't even worry if she hasn't had the other problem.
