Question My mellow YORKIE?

Hi there-

I have just got a new yorkie puppy. I have never had a yorkie before so I am a little nervous. My puppy, Toby, is very mellow. He has been great because I have a little toddler and he let's her play with him but now I am worried cause all the yorkie owners I know say how much their yorkie runs around and plays all day and my little guy just doesn't. Is it possible that he is really sick or are there other mellow yorkies out there? Any info would be great.

Has he been to the vet? Any new pup should be checked out by a vet after purchase...in fact, the breeder you got him from should have required it. Nevertheless, it is possible that you have a mellow pup, but that doesn't mean he won't find his groove later on as he matures. How long have you had the pup?
