Dog with hives.

Hi, I'm new to forums... I figured this would be a good place to inquire about a certain problem my dog has been having as of late. A few months back I noticed my dog was breaking out in hives, we took her to vet, they gave her some antibiotics and they seemed to go away for a while.
Over the past few days I've noticed them start to reappear on her head. The other day I walked into my yard and noticed a large swarm of mosquitos which I found odd since it's quite cold out right now. Just a little while ago out of nowhere I noticed she started to break out all down all four legs, her back as well as her face. To my knowledge she wasn't outside, and I checked the yard and there aren't any mosquitos out there anyway. She doesn't seem to be scratching or be irritated by the hives so I don't know if they could be mosquito bites...anyone have any advice for me?

Re: Dog with hives.

Talk to your vet. And in the meanwhile eliminate any standing water where mosquitoes can breed.

I agree you should revisit the vet. You may want to consider asking to have your dog tested for allergies, too.
