Bleeding Foot

I want to start by saying I DON"T OWN A DOG

good, thats out of the way.

I thought about this while reading some of the other posts. I remember when I was a kid, my neighbors dog (A black lab named Beauty[I think it was]). Her one foot used to bleed, I'm not sure if it was declawed or anything like that. And I can't remember if it was all the time. But I do remember one time There were like bloody footprint (only from one paw). What would cause that.

Even if you don't know what the problem could have been, all the same you can talk about other foot problems dogs may have..

Thanks!
Happy Answering

Re: Bleeding Foot

There are many potential causes, and without more info we can't even begin to speculate. And I've never, *ever* heard of a dog being declawed. Only cats.

Re: Bleeding Foot

You may be thinking about the Dewclaws (sp?) being removed from dogs, but that SHOULD be done when they are brand new, also docking the tail if need be by certain breeds of dogs.

Yes, you DO need to give us more info on the foot situation..it could have been a pad on the foot that was cut, or if the dew claws weren't removed it could have gotten caught on something and torn. Dogs are at times worse than kids, ya never know...
