| Re: My puppy needs your help I get a soapless shampoo and ear cleanser from our vets office. It is a brand that is only sold in veterinary offices. It is in a white bottle with purple and green logos and text. It was not very expensive. If you use any type of flea treatment like Frontline you are supposed to use soapless shampoo which is why I purchase it and it works great.
I had a cocker spaniel and they are very prone to yeast infections in their ears due to moisture being caught since their ears flop over.
Not too long ago, my german shepherd puppy had a weird sore on his front elbow. At first it looked like a callous but then it got infected, and I had noticed a bald spot by his rear. Our vet said that mites can cause bald spots, but they don't consider it an infestation unless the dog has 8 or more spots. You can ask for them to scrape the skin and test for mites. Our puppy ended up ok, the sore healed up with antibiotics and the patch on his rear I think he had gotten a tuft caught in his wire crate and pulled it out in a fit of anxiety.
I could never find soapless shampoos at the pet stores.
Good luck! |
