I have a Papillon that is going to get spayed at 5 1/2 months old. I have never had a dog before, only cats and 1 of them a female cat. When she was spayed she never touched her stitches & the vet tech said that cats generally do not.
Will I have to keep a cone around my puppies head while she has the stitches?
How long will she have the stitches?
Does anyone know where I can get one of the cones that is not made of hard plastic? I remember seeing one made of material months back but don't remember where.
I believe all cones are plastic, and for a good reason. You don't want your dog to chew at the stiches right after surgery, that's why they wear those cones.
