Smile Puggle sick

Hello everyone!!! My puggle Marley has been weezing and breathing a lot different the past couple of days. It sounds like she has a lot of flem in her throat but can't get it out. I think she might have a cold. As anyone else experience this? Is there anything that I can do to help her get better?

Thanks much in advance...

Re: Puggle sick

Because of their facial anatomy, weezing is common in brachycephalic, or short nosed, breeds like pugs. However, if the weezing you're describing is excessive to the norm, I highly suggest you see a vet. Obstructions, upper respiratory infections, and allergies are far too common, and since Marley is half pug, his breed history makes him very sensitive to these issues.

Re: Puggle sick

Get the pup checked out ASAP, it could be as simple as reverse sneezing to a severe Upper resperitory infection. Better safe that sorry.

My puggle wheezes quite a bit too. Mostly when the weather changes. I'd get it checked out if it's more than normal though

Re: Puggle sick

My Pug Mix does not wheeze, but he breathes heavily. He is still puppy and plays a lot. But, I heard that the pug breed does have these issues and if it sound wet, then it would be best to take them in to get checked out.
