Re: good for bones

Bad leg as in joint problems or bad leg as in bone problems?

Re: good for bones

Check with your vet first, but I would think a low daily preventative maintenance dose of a good hip supplement would be the place to start now. I like the Synovi brand I get from www.kvvet.com. It comes in a variety of formulas, sizes and one of the formulas has MSM which relieves pain, inflammation and stiffness. Which he might not need right now, but it's always good to know about.

I'd definitely keep giving him the Omegas since they're good for joints as well.

I also found with Tessa that slowly building up the muscle in her hind end kept her going longer than anyone expected. I started slowly, I had her doing hill work.

I'm sure others here will have suggestions as well. You will have to find one, or a combination that you're comfortable with and try it.
