 My dog got canine distemper:(
Hello, everyone here. I am a Chinese also a new dog owner.
My dog is 5 months more old now, i was told that he got distemper 15 days ago after visits to the vet. It's really terrible news to our family. As i have heared that it's hardly possbile to have dogs recovered. But even there is little hope we still expect to save him. He is one member of our family. My parents loved him very much too. So we let him at the vets for a week's treatment, and just took him back home 6 days ago when the vet cnfmed he came back well.
In fact, he really looks better. His coat feels more smooth and shiny. We follow the vet's words to feed him regular puppy bites, nutri-plus gel etc..all good for his health bought from the vet. But since the day before yesterday, again, he started with sneeze, cough, tear...while stool, piss, appetite is still normal. But more and more, he likes sleeping and losing some weights.
We are scared and worried about his symptom. I know some countries like America has more sound pet management and treatment systems than that in China, that's why i post here to seek possible better solutions.
Should you have any good suggessions, pls do tell me, thank you.
