Licking until raw

Hi there, I'm new here and was hoping to get some opinions about my dog's licking thing. I will be eventually taking him into a vet to get checked out, I just can't afford a big vet expense at the moment. Basically hoping for some idea as to what's happening and how soon I might need to get him in. So any way my dog, which does have a mild flea problem, has started to chew and lick all around his back end, hips inside and outside rear legs Etc. But what has me worried now is he has licked a spot on top of his tail right above his anus raw to the point of bad pussing. Could this be something going on inside his anus or a parasite buried in right there? He seems to whine for a second them starts to naw and lick at it. Is there anything I can do until I can get him in hopefully this weekend?

Thanx for any help

The pus indicates an infection to me. Your dog needs to be seen by a vet ASAP. The other licking could be due to parasites, a skin condition, allergies, adrenal problems.....But only your vet will be able to help you.

I know that people do internet searches in hopes of finding answers to a pet's problem. But no one can diagnose health problems over the internet. Please seek vet help instead.
