Alaskan Malamute Question

I have a 10 year old Malamute and lately whenever you touch him he seems to be in pain. At first I thought it was just inhis legs and I took him to the vet thinking it was arthritus. The vet checked his legs and said they didnt feel athritic, gave me some Rimidyl and sent tme on my way. Now he seems to be in pain no matter where I touch him, at least he acts like that. I dont know if he is just irritated or if he actaully hurts almost all over. Malamutes are such big babies it is hard to pinpoint thier pain. I am not sure what else to try. Has anyone else ever heard of anything like this in thier Malamute or other breed?

I would take him back to your vet and get him to be more thorough, or take him to a second vet for another opinion. There are many things that will make a dog feel pain, not just arthritic legs...I would not assume he is just being a baby, he's an old guy, winter's coming on and it could be arthritis in the spine, neck, whatever, or some other situation happening in his body, which is causing radiating pain throughout. Get him looked at again.
