Unhappy My dog won't leave me alone!

My Siberian Husky is 8 years old and has demonstrated normal behavior for her breed her whole life. She has a history of minor Urinary Tract Infections/Bladder Infections but is otherwise healthy. She is of normal size and weight, has regular vet check-ups, etc. Lately, however, she has times of the day when she just will not leave me or my parents alone. If I climb up on the bed, she follows, if I walk into a tiny closet, she follows. If I am sitting watching TV she will literally climb into the armchair with me or pants heavily while she nudges me until she gets my attention. If she is locked out of the room someone is in, she will bang on it until someone opens the door! It seems like she has to go out but I could take her out 5 times and she will continue to behave this way, without even attempting to go to the bathroom while she is outside. However, at another point in the day, she acts totally aloof and normal. This has been going on for about a month now and went from being once every now and then to almost once every day. I can't tell if it is some kind of emotional problem she is having or if she is physically uncomfortable in some way. I wish I could speak with her! Does anyone have any advice as to what could possibly be wrong with her? We are not walking or feeding her any more or less than we have in the past.. this is really worrying me.

Do you exercise her? Maybe she's bored.

Yes, we walk her almost every day. Like I said, not any more or less than we have over the last 8 years.

Is she getting exercise beyond that? Sibes have a ton of energy and need far more then a walk every day or so. Also, regardless of this being her normal schedule or not it does not rule out her being bored.

Have you taken her to the vet to rule out any physical problems?

While she is only 8, one possibility that you might want to explore further is cognitive dysfunction (CD). That usually occurs around 10 years of age but, can develop earlier. My dog started climbing into my lap at the age of 8...something he had never done his entire life. That was two years ago. Today I see some of the other signs that make it hard for him to cope at times.
