help needed with my lab

hi,

i have a black lab,i have owned her for around 3 years now,the owner told us she was 2 yrs old so she is only around 5 yrs old now,we also have another lab thats only 2.my question is my 2 labs play a lot together and they get a little rough, the lab at 5 sometimes hurts one of her legs, normally the front and she may struggle and limp for a week or 2 but recovers fine, about 6 weeks ago she hurt her back leg playing with our other lab,she hasnt hurt the back leg before so this is the first time we have had this with her,its just starting to concern me now as its been so long,i think its easier for here to go around on 3 legs when its the rear opposed to the front, its not broken or swollen i think she has just strained the muscle or something but im afraid she wont use it for that long it will stiffen up and she may have future problems with walking etc.
does anybody have any suggestions? money is tight so the vet is out for now.

thanks lee.

Re: help needed with my lab

If she'll let you near it try putting a heating pad on it. If she won't let you near it put the heating pad on her bed and she'll come around to it. Massage can sometimes help too. Try to restrict her activities, don't let her play with the other dog, don't bring her out for long walk, or runs or anything where she would be using that leg.

The best thing would be to bring her to the vet, it could be serious, but if money's tight try the heating pad for a week and then update us again, please.

Hope she feels better soon...
