Question Is Bi Odor for ferrets safe for my puppy?

Hi all,
After extensive research (and I'm pretty good at digging on the internet) I'm still coming up emptyhanded. I'm assuming that it would be, seeing as how my ferret seems MUCH more fragile than my Piggy, but I'm no vet, so I'm not sure just how different the digestive systems are here.
Basically, my ferret wants to share a water bowl with my puppy. I use Bi Odor in his water bottle, and may I say IT WORKS, oh does it work! But since Slinky has been running free more often, he's been drinking from Piglet's water bowl, and his odor is coming back. I wanted to put Bi Odor in the water, but I don't want to do it without knowing if it may make Piggy sick. She doesn't have a sensitive stomach as far as I can tell. But I wanted to see first if anyone else has done this with no ill effects. Chalk it up to a worried mom.
And before you ask, yes, I did call my vet, but since he's not very familiar with ferrets, (downfall of living in a small town) he doesn't know the product and therefore can't tell me anything other than to just try it and see. That didn't satisfy me. I'd rather have a smelly ferret than a sick puppy.
TIA
Anni
