Help! Nighttime problems

We have three cats. Two are fairly old while the newest addition (Scooter) is young, maybe around three years of age or a little less. He's EXTREMELY active, and wants to play almost nonstop. The other cats won't play with him because they don't even like him, lol. So during the day we give him plenty of attention and playtime, and he has toys he can play with. Before I go to bed I'll play with him to try and tire him out. It works...for a little while. But then around 4 or 5 in the morning he'll wake me up attacking my feet.

Any suggestions?

You just have yourself a crazy kitten! Haha! My cat 1 year and 8 months but she cats old and not much like a kitten anymore. But the cat you have sounds like a its still a kitten. Just keep telling your cat a firm "No" or what ever you use to get them to stop in the day. Just like with dogs you have to be persistent in training them, and your cat needs to learn to stop attacking your feet!

But other than that if your cat gets a little crazy (sprinting around the house at top speed) before bed its normal and its called "elevensies" because it usually happens around 11 at night but I find my cat does this anytime before I go to bed.

I'm evil. I suggest getting the younger cat his own kitten to play with.

But that probably won't help you sleep too much. You'll just have two cats attacking you.

My youngest cat (now 3 years old) didn't let me sleep through the night until she was about 1.5 - 2 years old. That amazingly happened right around the time we started using an electric blanket in the winter. She loved laying on the warm blanket so much, she slept in. But the time summer rolled around and we no longer needed the extra warmth, she kept sleeping through the night, snuggled up right along side me. Now I have to kick her out of bed so I can get up in the morning.

Also, keep it as dark and quiet as possible in the bedroom. It's getting light earlier now, so kitties wake up to the sun and the birds chirping.

Another option: Don't let the cat in the bedroom. You won't wake up to your feet being pounced. You'll wake up to the clawing and meowing at the door instead.

If I did that I would never be able to sleep! Lily would just meow non-stop until I let her in!

Yup, that's what Scooter would do. He has a weird meow, it sounds sort of like a sheep. We call him a lamb sometimes

As for the suggestion of being firm when he attacks me, I should try that. Usually I just push him off the bed, but that's obviously not working!

When Lily bites I usually tap my finger on her nose, not too hard just enough to make her stop, and say "No". Or at least thats what I did when she was younger and she did that kind of stuff. She usually stopped and looked up at me as if she were saying "Im sorry I wont do it again!".
