| Introducing the kitties...... Along with my boston terrier, Joey, I have two cats. Allie is my tuxedo rescue kitty, and she's pretty much the boss of the house. Everyone bows down to her wishes and that's just the way it's supposed to be......according to her! Abu is my blue point siamese and he's also my little angel. He's my baby and he is the sweetest cat I've ever known. He loves to play fetch and keep-away (that's where we throw a toy back and forth and he tries to catch it mid-air) and also riding around on my shoulders. That's where he got his name. When he was a kitten he'd sit on my shoulder like a little monkey, so I named him Abu after the monkey on Aladdin.

| Re: Introducing the kitties...... Ahh I LOVE your kitties! They are soo cute! Were did you get your Siamese? Lily is a silly little cat (hence my name), in my opinion she is a little shy for a Siamese but she is still an awesome cat.
When I first got into the Siamese I wanted to watch Lady and the Tramp (again). And I am just (this past month or so) realizing that they portrayed the Siamese as really mean and evil. My cat is definatly not mean but she can be evil sometimes . Dont you agree? |

sillylilykitty- Abu is very shy too. He runs and hides when new people come over, but he'll slowly come out of his hiding spot after about twenty minutes and check out the visitors. I got Abu from someone in town who bred their pet siamese cats, definitely not the best place. I know better now though, and Abu has turned out to be a wonderful cat. I was lucky! He actually isn't very mischievous, unlike Allie and Joey. That's why he's my little angel! My only complaint with him would be his shyness around strangers, and the annoying habit he has of dropping ALL of his toys in his water bowl. When he brings a toy over to play fetch it's usually soaking wet, lol!
I hate the "mean old siamese" stereotype! I've never met a mean siamese in my life. I don't understand where they get this reputation! I think people are just jealous of how wonderful they are.
Lily is just gorgeous, btw! I was looking at her pictures on some of your other threads. My bf loved her pics also, he said she looks like she'd have a silly personality, lol. I think all Siamese tend to have very unique little personalities.
iwantmypup- Allie picks some of the strangest positions to fall asleep in, lol! That first pic is one of my favorites.

I think all Siamese tend to have very unique little personalities. | Lily used to be really shy when I lived in Hawaii but the strangest thing happened when I moved here to Colorado, she wasnt shy at all! The Comcast guy came over and Lily actually played fetch with the guy! The maintenance guys came and she watches them. I was so happy but then this new guy came and if you want to see the whole story look at my thread in this forum called "Im so sad...my cat...is...". But basically Im afraid she is afraid of men now
I really like how Abu's head is short (there are show type siamese cats with shorter faces, maybe not that much though). Blue points have always been my favorite color! Sorry if im talking too much cat for you but I have never seen another Siamese owner on this forum before And I am kind of excited about it!
PS the cat in the picture, her name is Cherry and she is the best DM Siamese cat in the world! (hard to believe I know but I worked for the owner/breeder) |

Is Lily very vocal? I know it's a Siamese breed trait, but Abu is very quiet....unless he's out of food! He is very clingy though and loves to play fetch. In fact when I'm walking around the apartment I have to be careful because he'll jump on my shoulders without any warning. He has all his claws so sometimes if he lands crooked I get some scratches on my shoulder. He just loves to be on my shoulders, lol!
Cherry is very beautiful! |

Most of the time she is quiet though but if you talk to her she might talk back, it depends on the question.
Lily is a one person cat, she prefers me to everyone else (1 thing my sister doesnt like about her). Lilys only a shoulder cat if I put her there. She most likely will jump down if we are inside, but if we are outside she will stay there. |
