Good luck to both of you! |

'Kitty- do you have to register your cat with something for it to earn points and stuff at a show? I'm confused about what you would register it with. TICA or CFA or are both of those legit? |

| Re: Cat Show!! Both are legit. Mine is TICA registered, because it is suspected of having wild bloodlines CFA won't recognize the breed. |

| Re: Cat Show!! Luvable, you'd have to ask someone other than me. =) I didn't have to register Newbee, simply because she's not pure-bred anything.
This show that we're all attending is a CFA show, and I think SillyLilyKitty may be able to answer your question 1000 times better than I ever could.
CS, CFA doesn't recognize Pixies? =O Or was it just your cat in particular that they didn't recognize? |

| Re: Cat Show!! Oh okay. That's stupid that they're against registering a breed because it has wild bloodlines. All domesticated animals do and it's a really gorgeous cat. Oh well, atleast its regerstable with TICA. |

| Re: Cat Show!! There's other breeds that have wild cats' bloodlines, too. =/ I can't think of one right away, but I know they're there. ^_^' And they're registered. Maybe the Pixies are still too new, if they aren't registerable? |

Arent they an older breed than the Pixiebob? I dont know a lot about those cats because they are with TICA not CFA (which is where Lily is registered). |

| Re: Cat Show!! The Pixxie bob would probably be more likely to get registered before the Bengal because the Bengal deff has wild ancestry but the Pixie bob they're not really sure about. It might have Bobcat in it's ancestry but some people don't really agree with that. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bengal_cat
I think cshellenberger posted a link about the Pixie bob earlier and it said that they did DNA testing wich failed to prove the Pixie bob is in any way related to the bobcat. *shrugs* It still looks like one and I've always liked the wilder looking cats, hence the Ocicat is by far my most favorite cat in the world.
By the way you cat is gorgeous. She's a Blue Point right? |
